If you are short on time but still would like to visit the valley in the shortest and easiest way possible then this 2 day Horseriding tour is a perfect fit for you! It takes about 4 hours for a horseriding tour one way so you would still have time to do some hiking and enjoy the hot springs in the valley! Altyn Arashan translated as “Golden springs” for its famous hot springs is a gorge located in the eastern part of Kyrgyzstan, 30 km away from Karakol at 2500 meters above the sea level.
Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer by car from Karakol to Aksu village. Horseriding from Aksu to Altyn Arashan valley (12 km), 2600 m. Lunch. Dinner & overnight in a guesthouse/yurt
Day 2: After breakfast horseriding back to Aksuu village (12 km) Transfer from Aksu to Karakol. Lunch on your own.
On either day it is possible to hike to Suuk tor lake if you like.
Tour Cost
INCLUDED: English speaking guide, horse rental, (additional horseman from 3 ppl and more), lunch, dinner and breakfast, accommodation in the yurt or a guesthouse, hot springs fee, transport from Karakol to Aksuu and back
NOT INCLUDED: Transport to/from Karakol. If you are coming from Bishkek take a marshrutka from the west bus station to Karakol for 400 som. The journey is 6-7 hours.
